Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services shortly BASIS is going to organize a 5 days ICT event titled as ‘BASIS SOFT EXPO 2012’ from 22th February to 26th February in 2012. It is the largest ICT and software fair of Bangladesh which has been organized by BASIS every year since 2003. The upcoming exhibition will held on the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre at Dhaka.

The exhibition is going to organize with the objectives of introducing latest IT products to consumers and creating proper employment opportunities for IT interested people. BASIS planned to divide the stalls in 6 zones – ‘Communication and connectivity zone’, ‘ITES & BPO zone’, ‘Mobile application & solution zone’, ‘IT education zone’, ‘Business software zone’, and ‘Outsourcing zone’ in order to highlight the respective specialty of each solution zone. BASIS expected that several numbers of national and international companies will take part in the event with their newest products and services.
Apart from the SOFT EXPO exhibition, BASIS also planned to organize some award programs on ‘Code warrior challenge’, ‘IT innovation search’, ‘Freelancer award’ and ‘Best IT use within industry’. BASIS hopes that the upcoming SOFT EXPO exhibition will accelerate the popularity of IT sectors into a high degree across the country.
